Education for a Lifetime!!!
History
Founded in 1943, Resurrection Catholic School is an educational ministry of Resurrection Catholic Missions of the South, Inc. In addition to the priests and brothers of the Congregation of the Resurrection, the school was originally staffed by the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In 1964 the school and other programs of Resurrection Catholic Missions moved to a new multi-million dollar campus on Forbes Drive. By 1990, the Sisters of the Holy Family had withdrawn from ministry at the school.
In 1992 we merged with St. John the Baptist School founded by the Josephite Fathers and Brothers and St. Katherine Drexel and her Sisters of the Blessed Sacrament. The Brothers of the Sacred Heart administered the school for the next several years. In recent years the Congregation of the Resurrection in collaboration with religious sisters from several different congregations and dedicated laity have maintained the tradition of excellent academic and character formation which have been hallmarks of the school. In the summer of 2009 Sister Gail C. Trippett, CSJ, assumed leadership of the school community.
